If a night on the town is on your agenda, the city of Leavenworth is less than a half hour away by car. Well known for its Bavarian themed facades, delicious beer and brats, and its oompah music, Leavenworth is a destination in its own right for river rafting, kayaking, climbing, and hiking. All the usual shops, restaurants, and grocery stores are present. For an out of the ordinary day trip, nearby Seattle features all the amenities of a major city. The Pike Place Market and the Space Needle should be on everyone’s list of places to visit. If, after all this, you still need someplace to go, the columnar basalt gorges of Frenchman’s Coulee are one of the many natural wonders within an hour’s drive of Rendezvous Ranch.
